I seriously need to go see SBTRKT live. They’re playing Bristol soon. I’m thinking birthday present. Live show looks too good!
For something completely different.
This comes on the playlist at work and I really see it being a soundtrack to a teenage summer. Those times where you’d go out all day with your friends. Bike rides, the beach, the woods, up to no good, holding hands, finding new love. Montage music.
Whilst finding it on YouTube I discovered it’s pretty popular due to Banksy’s ‘Exit through the gift shop’. Who knew.
Requake & Badklaat - Corruption
I always make sure there is an extra volume notch saved for when a tune like this comes along.
I’m all about 04/05/06 tonight.
I don’t have anything witty or intelligent to write this evening
Just chilling out with some early morning beats:

And the record begins with a song of rebellion…
Say Anything - …is a real boy (2006)
Burial - Kindred is finally on Spotify, I was starting to get sick of looking for it on YouTube constantly.
1. Kindred
2. Loner
3. Ashtray Wasp
Bax - Mosca
Hefty bass lined old school garage beats. This tune and ‘Done me wrong’ take me way back to being a kid and listening to my dad’s Ministry of Sound CD’s at breakfast.
How you REALLY dance to dubstep.

James Blake - Postpone
I listen to the CMYK E.P a lot and never really realised how great this track was. Thumping.
It’s been a strange week.
I hate people.
the song is probably older than most of the kids commenting on it
With great power comes great responsibility. Skrillex should use his massive status to teach the kids about real electronic/bass music and it’s origins. It would probably always end up like this though.
My year in music.
(Lonely Island and John Swihart are so hi because there was a fortnight where they were all I had on my iPhone. Still, they both rule so it’s all good!)

I’ve got a real hankering…
for a bounce/mosh/dance session to copious amounts of pop punk/Ska!
