Exploded:
As a child i was fascinated by those books that would show you an exploded view of just about anything from cars to animals. My eye was caught by something very similar by Voorhes. He has taken some quite random objects and exploded them in real time creating some beautiful photos in the process:

London 2012:
Not all the 2012 chatter is about the apocalypse, some of it is about the upcoming Olympic Games. The games this time round are to be held in London, England. We are proud to be hosting them even if the stadiums and such are not quite on track at this moment in time. The long since released branding of the 2012 games did not go down too well with a lot of people due to its ‘modern’ and...

Apocalyptic:
With all the hype about 2012 in film and real life i thought i would post up these apocalyptic illustrations (that’s right they are illustrations!) by Steve McGhee. Fantastically detailed pieces with a rather macabre subject matter:

Electric Zombie:
I know i already did a post on Friday the 13th today but i wanted to post about the new Electric Zombie clothing line released today. Electric zombie is the creative alter ego of Kyle Crawford. He designs for bands such as Blink 182, The Fall of Troy and New Found Glory. He also runs his own clothing brand also named Electric Zombie. His latest release is one of the best yet. Classic Book Covers:
Whilst looking through Mikey Burton’s portfolio website i noticed these amazing illustrated book covers. He has picked classics and created an integrated branding campaign based around the illustrative reinterpretation the book covers. These are directed toward junior-high-school students.

Ben & Jerry's:
I don’t know about you lot but I am a huge fan of Ben & Jerry’s. I can go through a whole tub by myself with ease. Their packaging designs and product names always intrigued me and now they have outdone them selves with these 3D installation advertisement. I think the final outcome will be 2D but the detail and effort put into these is great.

Irrational fear:
They say the best way to sove an irrational fear is to confront it head on. Well Dubpenny have gone all out on this wallpaper design for arachnophobics:

Smoking Kills:
I am a massive fan of the smoking ban and would love to see smoking banned in all public areas but i fear, unfortunately, that is a far off reality. In the mean time i am all for gruesome and shocking ant-smoking advertisements. Here is a brilliant ad campain by Shaun Velka:

Octopus Pool
An incredible skating pool illustration by NeverCrew. The pool in the Skatepark of Lugano, Switzerland is a one off piece that the group specialises in. They also do murales, graphics and sculpture. Check out more images after the jump:

Wordboner.com
Wordboner.com is about typography with personality. They take a sentence, turn it into nice typography and then give it a dual meaning. Some are serious other are very funny. Here is a small selection of my favourites:

Snow Leopard:
Installed Snow Leopard today. A housemate bought a family pack and we all chipped in. Noticeable speed difference and slight interface adjustments. So far I am liking it. New quicktime is ace too!
